STEVE SEIGEL

Steve Seigel is a 27-year veteran Navy SEAL and career business executive with responsibilities spanning progressive management, operations, business development, marketing and C-Level experience.

Following retirement from active duty his industry experience has spanned responsibilities in program management, business development, and director and executive positions. In 2008, he joined Zodiac of North America, Inc. (ZNA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Zodiac Marine and Pool and a Carlyle Group portfolio company.

As president & chief executive, he took the lead in providing specifically detailed marine products to federally funded agencies and non-federal state and municipal organizations. His leadership position also included legal entity responsibilities for ZNA’s Military/Professional and Recreational business sectors and P&L responsibilities for Zodiac MilPro. He held a crucial role developing Zodiac’s strategic U.S. development and new business expansions including the first U.S. based operational full rate production capability and assembly facilities. He further positioned the company for political, financial, and product expansion through acquisition strategies and strategic small business partners, positioning the company for the successful acquisition by Oaktree Capital Management in January 2013.

Retiring from the corporate environment, he and his wife pursued a multi-year plan to relocate in Colorado where he is the co-owner and president of HighTrail Expeditions. HighTrail addresses building, training, and leading highly effective business teams. Learning to lead and be led, he brings considerable training, leadership and management experience with practical and strategic applications to the backcountry as well as corporate surroundings.
