On the last trip to the Mojave Desert, we had the opportunity to explore a series of Lava Tubes which were created thousands of years ago. The inside of the tube was made up of “polished rock” formed into knife-like edges. The Mojave trail, called the “Mojave Road” takes approximately 4 days to complete and has many historical and geological sites along the route – certainly worth the time and effort to explore. This year we will be exploring the Anza-Borrego area in southern California . . .
