The last trip of the season to Red Cone Peak near Bailey, CO turned into a great recovery exercise. The trip up to the peak was spectular with "severe blue" sky. But the trail down the backside to Montezuma was full of hard packed snow up to 2 to 3 feet deep. It took almost four hours winching with our PullPal to travel the 400 plus yards to get below the snow line - what a hoot! Just love having all that recovery gear and knowing how to use it...
